Alliance Award for her work in Goodman Theatre's THE GOOD NEGRO.
* Nambi will be completing her Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts

Harriet Jacobs at Steppenwolf Theatre will reprise her role as Harriet in HARRIET
JACOBS, written by Lydia Diamond. The show will run October 22-November 21,

* Nambi
just returned from Italy as one of 17 writers selected to participate in an international symposium of playwrights
with LaMama Experimental Theatre featuringPulitzer Prize winner Lynn
Nottage.
* Nambi's play, XTIGONE
will enjoy 2 productions at CSUEB and the African American Shakespeare Co. in San Francisco
in Fall 2010 and Fall 2011.
* Nambi's play FOR
ROY, directed by Steppenwolf's Hallie Gordon was part of The Silver Project at American
Theatre Company where 25 writers , including Pulitzer Prize Finalist Kristoffer Diaz,
David Henry Hwang, and Regina Taylor, were asked write a short piece
focused on any year between 1985 and 2010.
* Nambi was recently honored with an award for her contribution to playwriting
in Chicago at the kick off event for the Black Ensemble Theater's Black Playwright's Initiative
Festival.
* Nambi will return as a guest lecturer at Lake
Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois, for the spring semester 2011 doing more extensive work with students
in African American Theatre and playwriting.
* Nambi was named the Ellen Stone Belic Institute/Goodman
Theatre Fellow . Nambi's fellowship includes her researching and developing an original play for the Goodman Theatre. The play will receive development at the Goodman, and will be part of the New
Plays Festival at the Goodman Theatre. Nambi shares this honor with Genius Award and Pulitizer Prize winner, Lynn
Nottage.
* Nambi was
one of several writers participating in the Living Newspaper Project hosted by American Blues Theater
, and was one of 5 writers to further workshop the play at the University of Chicago, 2010.

Nambi's writing just enjoyed publication in an anthology of work by African-American writers title The
Blaq Market: Monologues and Scenes .
* Nambi's
play THE BLUE SHADOW with original music by Joe Plummer recently
enjoyed a successful run at Lifeline Theatre . The recently published illlustrated
short story of THE BLUE SHADOW, is available for purchase through Amazon.com or at Lifelinetheatre.org.
* Nambi
was awarded The Friends' Fellowship by the Ragdale Foundation, which funds
an artist residency in Lake Forest, Illinois. The fellowship included Nambi being in residence for 2 weeks to write
and develop her own play.
